Thanksgiving 2010

Hello friends and family. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Above is Logan Thanksgiving 2010 and Thanksgiving 2009. He went from a baby to a little boy so quickly! We had a nice Thanksgiving this year. It was pretty quiet. We went to the park with Logan in the morning. It was chilly! He had a good time though. Then I spent the rest of the day cooking. We didn't even dress Logan up in anything cute, sorry. He gets everything so messy lately and usually wears at least two outfits a day! Above he was in his jammies already. Below is the spread of food. Yup, we have leftovers for a while, and yup, that is Comcast's yule log on the TV. We were pretending we had a fireplace. Don't judge.
Well, we missed family this holiday, but we will be back in MN before you know it! That's about it for now. Be sure to check out Logan's video below of him walking. Goodnight!

Grandma's View

Hello Family & Friends of Sean, Katie & Logan,
Grandpa Bob and I are thoroughly enjoying our visit with S, K, & Logan. He is such a busy, happy guy - go, go, going all the time he's not sleeping or eating! His grin and laugh are disarming, and you can't help but smile with him. He has learned to do something new every day we've been here, from waving to music (like a maestro conducting an orchestra) to saying "Ah" in response to a little cue, to taking steps more confidently and quickly while still holding a helpful hand. It's so fun to watch the eagerness to learn in his eyes; I'm glad we have been here to share these moments!

Logan loves to go outside from the early morning to dark evening and was surprised it was raining the other night. When I pick him up, he points to the door! He rides in his red car as we tour the neighborhood or his fingers open and close and his legs "run" with excitement when he sees Sean's truck. We toured a Pave Hawk helicopter today, and Logan was in seventh heaven when he saw all the control buttons! Pushing buttons on Mommy and Daddy's computers is a close second favorite activity. He's definitely got the instincts of a gadget guy!

Logan is learning to climb on and ride his toy zebra (and big toy truck), has his own LeapTop computer and numerous talking and/or musical books, trucks, and toys. There are plenty of educational opportunities for him to learn and have fun with; he also loves crawling through his Thomas the Train tunnel and play tent from Sean and Katie. And he makes really good truck sounds as he "drives" them on any surface. "Brrrmmmm!"

Sean and Katie are also doing well, look good and are pretty absorbed and centered on their little boy. As a mom, it's great fun to watch my son grow into a caring, watchful, playful dad, and Katie is a devoted mom. We fly home on Saturday, and it will be hard to leave them, but we look forward to seeing them in December for the holidays. Until then, we have two more days to enjoy the laughs, giggles, squeals and delights of a cute little grandson and his parents.

YAY ITS MY BIRTHDAY

Hello Everyone,

Well, believe it or not, Logan is already 1 year old today. Time has gone by so fast and it seems like yesterday we were at the hospital awaiting his arrival. Actually, by this time last year, I think Katie was getting her first bit of rest in 3 days.
Well, Logan had a blast for his Birthday. We started the day off sitting in my truck playing with all the gadgets and pretending to drive around.... one of his Favorite pastimes.
My mother and Step dad are here from Minnesota to share in the celebrations, so we headed down to the Monterrey Aquarium for the afternoon. It's such a fun place down there for everyone, and we genuinely enjoy spending every minute there. Logan is so intrigued with all the fish and marine life. Attached are some pics of him having the time of his life there.
After that we came back here to open the rest his presents. It didn't take him long to catch on what the wrapping paper was all about and before long he was unwrapping every present piece by piece. We will have to post some more pics as he uses all his new toys, but I think he should be pre-occupied for some time without getting bored thanks to everyone who bought him a present.
Over the last couple days he has been getting 3 teeth in all at the same time so he hasn't been the chipperest of lil critters, but I am pretty sure the abundance of fun today was more than enough to forget any discomfort he has had.
Mom and Bob are here with us for another day before they venture south to San Luis Obispo for a couple days before returning back here for a few more days before they leave. It sure is fun having family out to visit. Makes us wish we didn't live so far away sometimes. They are both really into photography, so its been nice looking at all the quality pics at the end of the day. For some of us whose memories aren't what they used to be, it will provide smiles and laughs for plenty of years to come.
Anyway, without further ado here are some pics

November?!

Wow, it is November already. Little did I know last year at this time I would be giving birth to Logan this week!! He just couldn't wait to meet the world, so he had to come out 2 1/2 weeks early. Well, Logan's first Halloween was fun. Friday night we went over to Amy Jo and Bevan's to carve pumpkins and had a wonderful dinner. They also gave Logan his birthday present a little early. He LOVES it. He knows how to climb on it himself and when he's on, he claps. Hehe, what a ham. Last night Logan dressed up as a giraffe, mommy was a greek goddess, and daddy was a hockey player (go figure). He had no idea what the heck was going on, but oh well. We had lots of tricker treaters and a nice dinner with Amy Jo. The weekend went fast.
Thursday Grandma Lynda and Grandpa Bob are coming out to visit!! Logan is excited!! I'm sure we will have some fun adventures. Logan's birthday is on Saturday, we aren't sure what we are going to do, but I'm sure cake and a mess will be involved =).
Still no walking yet from Mr. Logan. He isn't really that interested in it right now. He will do it when he is ready, and I'm sure we'll have some videos when it happens. Until then, here are some pics to feast your eyes on.
