Grandma's View

Hello Family & Friends of Sean, Katie & Logan,
Grandpa Bob and I are thoroughly enjoying our visit with S, K, & Logan. He is such a busy, happy guy - go, go, going all the time he's not sleeping or eating! His grin and laugh are disarming, and you can't help but smile with him. He has learned to do something new every day we've been here, from waving to music (like a maestro conducting an orchestra) to saying "Ah" in response to a little cue, to taking steps more confidently and quickly while still holding a helpful hand. It's so fun to watch the eagerness to learn in his eyes; I'm glad we have been here to share these moments!

Logan loves to go outside from the early morning to dark evening and was surprised it was raining the other night. When I pick him up, he points to the door! He rides in his red car as we tour the neighborhood or his fingers open and close and his legs "run" with excitement when he sees Sean's truck. We toured a Pave Hawk helicopter today, and Logan was in seventh heaven when he saw all the control buttons! Pushing buttons on Mommy and Daddy's computers is a close second favorite activity. He's definitely got the instincts of a gadget guy!

Logan is learning to climb on and ride his toy zebra (and big toy truck), has his own LeapTop computer and numerous talking and/or musical books, trucks, and toys. There are plenty of educational opportunities for him to learn and have fun with; he also loves crawling through his Thomas the Train tunnel and play tent from Sean and Katie. And he makes really good truck sounds as he "drives" them on any surface. "Brrrmmmm!"

Sean and Katie are also doing well, look good and are pretty absorbed and centered on their little boy. As a mom, it's great fun to watch my son grow into a caring, watchful, playful dad, and Katie is a devoted mom. We fly home on Saturday, and it will be hard to leave them, but we look forward to seeing them in December for the holidays. Until then, we have two more days to enjoy the laughs, giggles, squeals and delights of a cute little grandson and his parents.
