Tribute to Grandpa and Grandma Luke

Hello all, I know there are a couple readers here that descend from the Lukoskie name, so I thought it'd be fun to show you what I found. On Sunday, Sean and I and our good friends Tamara and Eddie ventured to the Jelly Belly factory in Fairfield, CA. They make Jelly Belly beans of course, but they also make a bunch of other kinds of candies as well. I found these guys there and it instantly brought me back to being a little kid at Grandpa and Grandma Luke's house in St. Paul. They always had these candies there every time we visited and us little grandkids would always beg for a few. =) Does anyone else remember this? Funny how you remember some random things from your childhood.
Love,
KT

We've Got a Swimmer!!

This morning Sean and I went to see the doc. We got to do another ultrasound and this time the baby was moving around....a lot! It was really cool to see. Sean even said he saw the little one doing some scissor kicks with its legs! How fun! That little thing will probably be kicking the crap out of me in a few weeks if it's already moving around so much! Its little bro or sis has been absorbed by my body, so peanut is alone again. A lot of people were wondering what was going to happen. Also, peanut is 36mm long, so that makes us 10 weeks and 2 days! So that was a great start to our day.
I have been feeling great this week. Last week I felt pretty sick. Unfortunately I have been plagued with really bad headaches at least once a week, hopefully these die down with time.
Not a whole lot else going on in the Kirsch household. I am trying to get everything finished for school that ends in a couple weeks. Sean is busy working and watching the Stanley Cup Playoffs. We will be cheering for the Sharks tonight!! Hope everyone else is well. Love you all!

as the rollercoaster turns...

Well, in possibly the most bizarre news yet, peanut is already raising havoc and becoming a hellian with his ol' man and momma. Turns out after some tragic news a little critter is still thumping away inside KT.

For all that need filling in, a couple weeks ago we were informed that we had a miscarriage. Somberly we waited almost two weeks only to find out when KT went back for the mandatory follow-up that there were originally twins hiding. Unfortunately, one of them did indeed miscarry. How this eluded everyone included the doctors is beyond us all. Merrily we are still celebrating our newest arrival to-be.

However, peanut or maybe the other peanut, is still alive and growing like no other. YAY, were gonna have a baby afterall. A strong heartbeat and all....

So yeah, I'm so gonna make that kid pay someday. Now I know what my parents went through for 5 years... maybe it was 10 years.... ok, ok, so 36 years.
Anyway, as the words fall into the screen here in lovely Missouri, Peanut, Katie, and Toulie hold the fort down until my return... not soon enough.

And YAY for Peanut. I'm sure there are still some tricks up his/her sleeves as KT and I are try to relish the fortuitous news.
