Allison comes to visit!!

Hello all!
So it's been over a week since Allison visited me here in Mountain View, but I wanted to blog about it because we had so much fun! Allison and I went to Elementary, Middle, and High School together and she now lives in Ontario, CA as a Spanish teacher. So, I showed her around Mountain View and the military base we live on. Sean was out of town so she got a little taste of my life as a military wife (always coming and going). We had some awesome Thai food on Castro Street with Amy Jo, visited Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row, made Puppy Chow, watched Twilight, played with Toulie a bunch, hiked at Rancho San Antonio (Nature Preserve), reminisced looking at old pictures of us, hung out at Red Rock (coffee shop), had Gelato, and had a great breakfast at Hobees! Sean came back on Friday so he got to meet Allison and took us out for the Gelato and breakfast. It was such a fun time! Hopefully next time I can go visit Allison down south. We really want to go see the Ellen Degeneres Show!! But, now school has started and we are both busy bees now. Sean is on a another trip, this time in Florida for a driving course and some quality time with pepper spray and a taser. Let's hope he comes home in one piece.
In baby news, I am 28 weeks along now, and have another check-up next week on Tuesday. My check-ups now just include a measuring and a listen to the heartbeat. Nothing too exciting so I usually don't blog about them. I have started to go every 3 weeks instead of 4, so baby is nearing rapidly. Yikes! When Sean comes back maybe we'll have a new and improved belly pic! Have a great week everyone!!

Peanut's hot new furniture

Once again we are back with some brand new pics straight off the press. Here is a pic of the new crib/changing station. I believe this is for changing from Peanut's warm-up suit (thanks to my awesome Sis) like the Wild outfit to his actual jersey come game time. I could be wrong though. Maybe its for changing into his running outfits when the running stroller comes next spring.
Anyway, after the game he will be able to kick back and chill with Momma on his new high speed, low drag glider complete with a legs-up matching ottoman.

In other news, KT started school this week and is fortunate enough to be able to ride the lite-rail to class. There's a park n ride about a block away from the house right next to a guard shack on base here. So yay, she doesnt have to drive this semester.
I'm off on another trip on Saturday for work. I think it will be one of my last until Peanut kicks his way outta the womb. This trip is to Florida where we will get tazed/pepper sprayed and smash some cars up.

Well, thats all there is to mention right now. Toulie's chomping at the chair for me to play with her so before she upgrades to my leg I'm gonna sign off until next time.

Home from the Babymoon!!

Hello Everyone!
Hope everyone is having a fabulous week. Sean and I are back from Oregon with awesome pictures to show! So to make it short, we left Wed morning and headed straight to Crater Lake. It was beautiful! The water is ridiculously clear and bright blue. However we couldn't stay long there and had to head to Lake Odell where we were staying our first night in a lodge. Here is the lodge. The next day we headed for Portland and got there in a few hours. We went straight for the Columbia River Gorge and saw Multnomah Falls and hiked to the top of them. They were beautiful! Then we went to the city and visited Powell's Book store, which is one of the largest book stores ever! We had lunch at a nice Brewery, and walked around the town a bit. We didn't really know where much was, so we didn't see much. The next day we drove to the coast. We visited the Tillamook Cheese factory, had some delicious ice cream, and bought some yummy cheese! Then we drove down the coast and took in all the sites, including lighthouses, my favorite! We stayed in Lincoln City the first night in a great hotel with an ocean view. We spent our last day on the coast too, finally ending up in Medford. Here are some highlights:
All in all we had a really nice time and put a ton of miles on my car. Oregon is really a beautiful place everywhere you turn. No matter what road we were going down, there were always green mountains surrounding us.
Now that we are back, or I should say that I am back (Sean has left on yet another trip) life seems pretty hectic. My friend Allison is coming to visit me tomorrow and staying until Saturday, I still need to finish my paper, school starts next week, and we still need to get everything for the baby. I finally picked out a glider for the nursery (thanks Lynda and Bob!) and just picked up our crib last night. Will have some photos of it when we get it put together. Anyway, that is all for now, I'm sure when Sean gets back he will post some musings of the trip as well. Have a great week everyone!! Ciao!

8 Aug update

Hey all, back from a fun filled couple weeks in Yosemite here. We had a good time and Kt was able to come out for the last 4 days. Luckily by the time she got out there the weather was a bit cooler. Now we are back home and planning for the next adventure to Portland the middle of next week. Kt calls it the "babymoon" as it may be the last trip before the lil creature welcomes himself to the rest of the world.

Here is a pic of KT's lil budda belly below Half Dome

In other news, we have had an outpouring of clothes from our extended work family lately. Peanut, officially, now has more clothes than KT and I combined. However, if he is anything like me, he will pick a favorite outfit and wear it every single day until he gets a new one.... except underwear. There is a two day max on those. haha

And, I almost forgot to mention, Peanut finally kicked my hand. I guess he had enough shaking and decided enough was enough. A mancub has to do what a mancub has to do... that lil bugger.

Anyway, that is all there is to know on this fine sunny 8th of August, California afternoon.

Cheers
