I think I'm going to have him permanently wear this helmet the rest of the week....

Logan gets a shiner...
Yup, Logan has a pretty bad black eye. He got it yesterday while we were at the YMCA. I didn't see it happen because he was in the childwatch, but they said he fell off a chair. It doesn't surprise me as he falls down umpteen times a day, but what a poor little guy!!!

Tahoe Pics
Hi everyone, I finally got some time to get some pictures of our Tahoe trip from my friend. We forgot our camera!! How dumb of us! To recap: we stayed in a townhouse with some friends of ours at the Granlibakken for two nights. We had a great time. The weather was pretty warm so the snow was pretty slushy which didn't make for great skiing, but we still had fun. Logan sledded down their big hill with mommy and daddy (maybe we will get one of our videos up), and Sean and I cross-country skied and down-hill skied a little. We made some yummy meals in our kitchen together and got to celebrate Seth's birthday. The kids had fun and Logan loved watching what the bigger kids were doing. We even got to hit up the Granlibakken's pool. It sure is something else to go swim in a pool with ten foot snowdrifts looming by.
The weekend after that, my good friend Tamara came to stay with us for the weekend. She has a son about the same age as Cameron (~15 months) and we had a great weekend together. Watching the boys play together was the highlight, but we had some great conversations, a visit with Elise and Eli, and a fun trip to Happy Hollow Park. Hopefully I can get some pics of that up soon.
This past weekend we took the camper to Santa Cruz and stayed at a Po-dunk RV park. There were some creepy souls ambling about and we even considered only staying one night, but we actually had a good time. We went to the beach and played and visited the Crow's Nest for a beer. Then we went down to Monterey, stopped at the aquarium, and visited our friends and their new baby. It was a lot of fun!! We will not be going back to that park though. You have to keep going places to find the good ones though! Anyway, check out the Tahoe pics and stay tuned for more!!!

a day at the park
Hello everyone,
Well drill weekend was cancelled due to the budget dilemna, the best drill weekend yet, so instead we made the most of the nice weather and headed back to the field for some fun outside in the sun...
always looking for the ever present airplanes flying overhead...

and how can you not check out hte moon "moo" when it's out in the middle of the day?

the one thing you cant leave behind when going to the park

March Madness round 2
Hello all,
Well it has been a long time since we have updated the blog; a sign that life is cruising at warp speed. KT and Logan traveled back to MN for a week long visit with family while I was off on another work trip. I am hoping to be back home now for a couple months. We are planning on heading back to MN late May. KT is off to Paris for a friends wedding so it will finally be Logan and I spending some much needed time together while momma gets a break. All three of us have had colds this last week. We are finally recovering and getting back to a somewhat normal life again. Logan came down with an ear infection when they got back to CA so he has been on medication for it.
It's been pouring rain since we got back too, so playtime has been limited to the living room. We cant wait for the weather to clear up and we might even head up to Tahoe for one last vacation in the snow in a couple weeks.
I finally picked up the trailer today. It's been getting serviced for awhile now and we are looking forward to using it again when we get a chance.
Logan is growing fast. He knows many words and is getting more and more coordinated everyday. He can go up and down the stairs on his own, albeit we spot him closely.
Well that is the way it is on this rainy day. Hope this post finds everyone happy and healthy.

Somebody got a haircut!!!
Well hello there! It's been a while, so much has been going on!!! Where to start....Logan is 15 months now, he just had his check up yesterday. He weighs 21 lbs (8%ile) and is 32.5 inches tall (85%ile), so he's still as skinny and long as ever! He is doing great. He does a million and one things that make me laugh all day long. Here are some examples of what Mr. Logan does during the day: he wants to throw every single one of dirty diapers in the trash by himself, every morning he touches the outside of my coffee-cup while saying "oowie" and "hot," he constantly brings books to us while saying "booa," he's learning how to say please and says "puh, puh," and he loves being outside no matter what he is doing. It is unbelievable how smart he is. He says and knows a lot of words, probably more than what I think. Aside from the words above, he also says, car, truck, dog, duck, kitty, jacket, hat, shoe, boot, shirt, sock, pajamas, puff, juice, Toulie, mama, dada, and probably more. He loves looking at animal books and making the animal noises, and also likes watching videos of animals and planes and helicopters on youtube. He still loves going to play at the YMCA while mommy works out, so we do that 3-4 times a week. Daddy is also his BFF, he is such a daddy's boy right now.
What are mommy and daddy up to? Well, my thesis proposal got accepted, so I am on my way to starting my Master's thesis. I'm really excited to be done with school but still have a lot of work ahead of me. Last weekend I went to visit my friend Allison in southern California. It was my first ever trip away from Logan. It went great!! We chatted over coffee a lot, watched a bunch of movies, visited Santa Monica, got pedicures, and ate yummy food. It was such a great time and I really needed a break. It is wonderful to get together with childhood friends and start back up right where you left off =).
Sean is work, work, working like usual. He had a nice time bonding with Logan while I was gone. They played outside pretty much the whole time and were fortunate to have a nice weekend of weather that was sunny and in the 70's. He just took off to Tahoe today to get their medical refresher course started, he will be gone for more than a week.
Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that Logan got a haircut the other day?! Haha, I had been dying to cut it while Sean wanted to keep it long forever, I think. Well, here are some before and after pics.
