Less than 6 weeks left

Hello all,

Well we are back from a fun filled weekend down in Southern California. Kt's friend Christen and Matt tied the knot on the beaches of La Jolla (pronounced Hoya). It was really fun, the weather was great and and the drive down there couldnt have worked out better.Kt was a bridesmaid so she got to dress up and look fablulous even at 8+ months. It took a little over 6 hours the first day and we found a hotel in Dana Point for the night. Then on Friday we only had a hour drive the rest of the way. Today we drove the entire way back which took about 7 hours total. Maybe a bit more since we had to stop and pick up Toulie at our friends place. Kt handled the drive excellent. We stopped a couple times to stretch and gas up, but otherwise it was pretty smooth sailing even through LA.
Here are some pics of the weekend.

Our hotel was the La Jolla in and we had an ocean view suite. It was really cool. It was only about half a block from the ocean, but we couldnt hear the waves as there was some sort of club blasting music at night; but the view was great. The town is a total artsy town with galleries all over the place. Literally....
My favorite store was Quicksilver, not artsy, but got a cool shirt there... haha
This week will be busy for KT. Her Birthday is next Sat. Kathy, her mother, is flying out on wednesday or thursday and will get to spend the weekend with us. I have monday off for Columnbus Day, so going to relax a bit before a the busy flying week.
Most of the guys are going to be in Oahu... I guess I will miss that one again.

Anyway, hope this post finds everyone doing well, and the date is creeping up on us very quickly so hopefully we will have some big news and pics soon to come.

33 1/2 weeks

Hi Everyone,
So here is me at 33 weeks 4 days. Yup, I feel rather large. Its all baby, all in front, and pretty low. Pretty crazy huh? I have been feeling pretty good for the most part, I guess I can't really complain. Last week I had pretty bad back pain and this week it is gone, so, things change all the time. I went swimming yesterday again and felt pretty good, although I have been using Sean's fins because my breathing is not what it used to be and I can do more laps with the fins. Anyway, enough about me.
We had a fabulous weekend here, well, at least I did. Sean had to work, but I think he had a lot of fun as well. His friend Craig (who lives in New York and is getting out of the service) came to stay with us for his last drill weekend. It also happened to be family say on Saturday, which made things more exciting. Craig's wife Beverly came, which is awesome, because we always have great fun and conversation together. Anyway, since it was Craig's last drill Sean came up with a bunch of stuff he wanted to do for Craig. On Saturday was the family picnic, many wives got to fly on the helicopters, but I'll have to wait until next year. Then we picnicked at the Softball fields with all the military families, and then we had a party for Craig in the evening. It was a great time, most of the team was there with their families, and we ate and chatted and gave Craig a great last weekend as a PJ. Craig's parents Nelson and Marge even drove up from San Clemente to spend the weekend with us and we had a great time. I had heard a lot about them from Sean and they are really great people. So the weekend was a success, however, we have no pictures! Maybe Beverly will send me some of hers and I will post them.
Now, we are getting ready for another crazy weekend. I will be in my friend Christen's wedding in La Jolla, as mentioned in earlier posts. We are leaving tomorrow to drive the distance, so I wanted to make sure to update the blog. When we get back I'm sure we will tell you all about it.
The following weekend will be really exciting too. My mom will be flying over to visit me for my birthday!! Thanks to Heidi and Rick who graciously let her use a buddy pass, what a great birthday gift! Minnesotans have MEA so they have Thurs and Fri off, so mom will be flying out Wed. evening. I'm sure we will mostly take it easy, but hopefully go out and do something fun for my birthday! So that is about it. Wait for more exciting posts in the future!!

32 Weeks

Hello everyone! Here I am at 32 weeks along, today!! Sean is in Yosemite climbing so I had to take a picture of myself with my phone. He will be back home tomorrow. I have just been spending a lazy weekend here with the dog. It has been pretty hot, so I haven't been real motivated to do much outside. I went and saw the movie "Fame" last night with Amy Jo. It was alright, I think I'd suggest waiting to rent it. It was fun to get out of the house though, in less than two months its not going to be so easy to go see movies, so I've got to get out now, right?! Here is what we have going on in the future:
Next weekend is family day at Moffett Field, so we will be hanging out on base and having a picnic with all the military families. Hopefully the guys will do some cool demonstrations for us. One year they did stuff with the helicopters. They also usually do spouse flights. I would love to get a ride on pave hawk helicopter, but they will not be letting ladies with baby bumps on those things! Darnit! Maybe next year. The guys hate family day because they are "required" to go to it, but the picnic is fun.
The weekend after that, we are heading down to San Diego for my friend Christen's wedding! I am a bridesmaid in the wedding, so that is exciting. The wedding is actually in La Jolla, a beautiful little (expensive) town. As of right now, my dress fits me perfectly, so let's hope that lasts for two more weeks. I'm sure pictures will be posted of that when it comes. We have to drive 7 hours down there, so we might try to split it into two days so that I am not miserable.
My friends here are having a baby shower for me on Nov. 1, so I am pretty excited about that! Its going to be at the clubhouse here on base, so all I have to do is walk across the street! Nice!
Then on November 7th, we are taking a tour of the hospital I will be giving birth in! Crazy! I have already been there once to visit a friend and it is really nice. Many people have told me that it is a great hospital to give birth in. Then soon after that, our baby boy will be here and our lives will be changed forever! I am so excited! Anyway, that is it for now. Going to get a little more school work done....I know, on a Saturday. I am boring. Miss everyone tons!
Love,
KT

a pic from the recent past that we thought was COOOLL!!!

taken from a trip to Sequoia National Park this summer.

the GREATEST FRIENDS ever

A special "thanks a million" to the Zweben's who have almost single handedly supplied us with an entire wardrobe for Peanut. The clothes are awesome and we can't thank you guys enough.
While nobody can replace having family nearby, the best friends in the world are irreplaceable and for that we are extremely grateful.
You guys ROCK!!!

20 Sept 09

Aahh Yes,

It is that time again. Just what everyone has been waiting for... more Pictures. YAY
And yep, hot off the press are the new styling views of Peanut's latest and greatest commodities and toys that make his room the coveted sanctuary. Complete with Ghani pillows, black bears from Canada, 18 wheelers from Missouri.... Missouri? (Ok maybe the only good thing that came outta Missouri...) and last but not least the incredible fuzzy lions and turtles on the wall.
Ok, enough with the jabber, here they are

Kt, continues to amaze me with how much one can suffer with a smile on her face. Let me just tell you that there is no way in the world I could ever manage nor endure the discomfort that girl is going through and has gone through already. Between the back pain, belly pain, sore feet and constant tossing and turning all night long, I would've given up long ago. On top of all that she has taken up swimming, a new hobby, in the absence of running to keep herself in shape. Its literally right across the street from our garage which makes it easy and efficient for us. How she swims with a big drum her in belly, I have no idea, but somehow every time I look up she's on the other end of the pool still kicking along. Who knows what peanut thinks. Hes prolly already finning like there's no tomorrow worrying about sharks like his old man even though its just a pool.

She's doing good though and hanging in there putting up with me being home for more than a week in a row now. I'll prolly get the boot come tomorrow morning even though its feeling pretty nice not living out of a suitcase again. I have a night freefall jump tomorrow which should be fun. Highway 101 on one side and the bay on the other with blimp hangars on either side.... :)
Might try to get a video of it and if I do I will post it then. Until then.....

Wholly Moley Kt's belly is 36".

Proof, straight from the eye of the digital beholder below. Peanut now has less than a trimester to go. Man, how time has really flown by. Wait a minute... Thats right, I have missed nearly half of it from work. I hope that's not a sign of the years to come.

In better news, Kt is still going strong and in good spirits. Peanut, however, is making his hourly presence known kicking, elbowing and prolly throwing some headbutts all into KT's ribs and stomach. On top of all that, just when we hit a 5 second break hoping he's gone to sleep, he chimes in with the hick-ups. Did I forget to mention she has to wake up numerous times through out the night? At least, its not because of me anymore... :)

I can only feel for Kt in another couple weeks when there isn't anymore room for Peanut to grow. Ladies and gentlemen, don't be surprised if there are pictures of a head silloutte sticking out one side of KT's belly and a pair of feet out the other soon. That kid hasn't a second to waste in his adventures.

In other news, the check-up went well today. Peanut's heart rate was a cool 161bpm. Right on track for where he should be. Selecting names is coming along too. I think we are narrowing the selection down and it doesn't look like its going to come to a drawing out of a hat anymore. I will wait for KT to post the choices if she so wishes though. We might not wanna steal the surprise though....

School is going well for KT too. It'll be another busy semester for her, but hopefully she will get all or most of the school work done before Peanut arrives.
Work for me has hopefully slowed a bit till after the holidays too. I am hoping to be done with any "work trips" until after the New Year. We will see how that goes....

Well, so be it, that's all there is to write about this fine Tuesday, September 8th, 2009 evening.

Signing off,
Sean, KT, Toulie and Peanut.
