December?!

Wow, where did December come from? It snuck up on us, I guess. Well here is a pic of me at 30 weeks along. Time is going by so fast! I don't feel ready for peanut #2 yet!! Yikes!
This little drama queen has kept up her status and put mommy in Labor & Delivery last week. Everything checked out okay, I was just ordered to stay off my feet as much as possible. I had an appt. with my OB yesterday and she did some ultrasounds and said everything still looks okay. She ordered another ultrasound to check the baby's growth because she is measuring a little small. Just a precaution to check it out. We will get that done next Wednesday.
I am feeling so uncomfortable already, I really feel like there is no way I will make it to 40 weeks. We at least have to make it to about 37 weeks though for baby to be in the clear. It's hard to rest and relax with a rambunctious 2 year old running the house!

We are really bummed to not make it home for Christmas this year, but it is probably the best for me not to travel at this point. We will miss family so much! It will be my first Christmas ever away from home! *tear*.

Anyway, that's about it here. Logan is still doing great, talking up a storm. He's such a smart little bugger. He now says "baby sister" and points to my belly. I'm still not sure how much he gets though. It will be quite an adjustment for him, I think. We hope everyone has a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. We will be thinking about you all.

Love,
Katie

Logan is 2 now!!!

Hello Everyone,

Well what can we say but how much this little bugger has changed our lives and how fast time has gone. Its hard to believe that it has already been over two years now. I still remember being pretty hesitant about having kids of my own because I didn't think I had the patience nor the aptitude to raise my own. Needless to say I cant imagine life without him now and I think I am more excited to come home and see him everyday than he is.
Logan's birthday came and went. We all had a blast and we enjoyed the entire weekend together. He got to do some of his favorite activities including camping, driving his new trucks, bike riding and just plain playing outside...
He is really smart. He has excelled far above every one of his progress reports at the dr office. His vocabulary is well over 100 words now and he knows much more than he usually says. Jumping is one of his newest favorite activities as is jumping some of his new monster trucks off of cardboard boxes. Caillou is still his favorite TV show but he is slowly opening up to Thomas the train and friends. A walk anytime of the day will bring a smile to his face but he has thoroughly enjoyed going for walks in the dark with a new green keychain light that he likes to shine at every bug he sees. He also has a healthy sense of imagination that is pretty entertaining and likes to pretend he is eating bugs from some of his bug books. Building tunnels with the furniture is something that occupies his time recently too. Although rebuilding it is required every 30 seconds due to being continually jumped on.
Well, we can only imagine what this next year will bring. Sincere enjoyment and plenty of smiles is hopefully and almost certain. Stay tuned for another exciting year of our little monster.

Stroller and Halloween!

Here is a pic of our new double stroller! Yay! I love it! Sooo excited about it. We got the large part of it a while ago, but the seat underneath we just got today. The stroller is really inter-changable. Logan can sit on top or bottom and a car seat can go on top or bottom, etc. Lots of ways to use it! I wanted a stroller that wasn't too wide to go shopping and easy to push =). Let's just say I had to sell two strollers plus some to pay for it ;0).

Here is Mr. Logan with our pumpkins this year. He had fun carving pumpkins with Dada and he actually loved trick or treating! I didn't know if he'd get it, but he did, and he loved it. We only went to about 5 or 6 houses because this kid does not need candy, believe me. He knocked on the door all by himself and said "tick teet!" It was so cute. We have pics of him carving pumpkins and in his costume on our camera that we will post soon. Also, we went to Pump it Up, a fun jumpy house place on Friday, and he won for best costume! More to come later.

Peanut #2 - 24 weeks baking

So we haven't posted much about peanut #2 very much, however, most people know that we are having a girl by now. Mr. Logan keeps us on our toes all day every day, so I guess we haven't had much time to write.

Well, peanut #2 and myself are doing really well now. We had a pretty rough first trimester, including morning sickness all day for about two weeks. I have felt really good for a while now, so that is good. I need all the energy I can get taking care of Logan all day! It was kinda crazy how exactly opposite my pregnancies have been with Logan and this one, I was not surprised to find out that it was a girl kicking about in there! We are really excited though. Still have not chosen a name yet, soon hopefully.

Lately I have been working on my thesis a little more often. We have put aside three days a week that I go out of the house and work on it, I think it will help. We are also in the process of selling my car and getting a new more family friendly car. I love my Elantra and really don't want to sell it, but I know we will fit much better in a Santa Fe and my back will thank me later. Someone looked at my car and wants to buy it, so hopefully it all goes down this weekend. Maybe we will have a pic of my new car to post soon! We also purchased a double stroller already! The one I wanted was on sale for a really good price, so we had to snatch it up. Will have to post a pic of that soon too. Now we are selling our single strollers on craigslist to pay for that one! Ha! I just sold my BOB jogging stroller today and shed a few tears for it.

Here's a pic of the ever growing belly. Much bigger already this time around. This was taken after a long hard day too....lol. I'm ready to go to bed! Take care everyone!

Welcome back everyone, Well it is already fall and there is a distinct nip in the air, colds are going around and the tea kettle is whistling. Logan is almost 2 now. Less than one month away to be exact. Our trip to MN went well. It was too short for me (Sean) but Katie and Logan had a good time I think. It was nice to see nearly everyone. We are settling into normal life again back here. I head out for a week trip to Southern Arizona tomorrow morning. I am looking forward to it being my last trip till hopefully well after baby #2 comes. It's been raining here already, about a month ahead of time. There was already a winter storm warning for the Sierras this last week and it dumped almost 2 ft of snow. Hope its another record snowfall year again myself. Logan got a haircut before he came back out here so he is sporting the "grown up boy look" these days. He's also a little chatterbug complete with 3-4 word phrases now like "drink app (apple) juice" "going truck drive" and "going ride bike." Here are a few of the latest pics; you will have to wait for Katie to post the big boy looks pics as I only have the long-haired-surfer, grungy-climber, hockey-player, watch-me-shake-my-hair poses that I liked so much.
